Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park advocates for and helps develop Bushwick Inlet Park on the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn. In the first phase, we designed and built an interactive map of the lots that will make up the park, with data on each one's status and plans. In the second phase, we're developing a map-based story of the park and its surroundings through history. We created georeferenced cartographic drawings from historical maps and data to show what the area looked like before European settlement and how it changed through urbanization and industrialization.
