Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park advocate and help to develop the Bushwick Inlet Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At Pratt SAVI, we designed and developed an interactive map to show the various lots that will make up the park with data to inform the public on the status and plans for the park. Now in the second part of the project, we are developing a custom, map-based interactive project to tell the story of the Bushwick Inlet Park and the area through history. Georeferenced cartographic drawings have been created from historical maps and data to show what the area was like before European settlement and how it changed through urbanization and industrialization.
